MARKSMANSHIP - The Rifle Team consists of a 8 person team. The type of rifle marksmanship that is taught and practiced in the AFJROTC program is three-position air rifle shooting that is done with 4.5 mm (. 177 cal.) air rifles with the targets placed at a distance of 10 meters.
HONOR GUARD/ COLOR GUARD - The Honor Guard, or Color Guard is one of the most visible extracurricular activities within the AFJROTC program. Being part of the Color Guard gives a cadet insight into how to properly present the national colors for selected events throughout the school year. The Color Guard consists of at least five highly motivated cadets that take pride in the presentation of the colors at many events.
RAIDERS - The Raider Team is a competitive team that focuses on physical endurance and conditioning. Events take place outdoors and usually consist of individual strength test such as push-ups, tire-drag, obstacle course, etc., as well as distance team running events, first aid events, and some form of rope bridge construction/crossing.
SABRE TEAM - The Sabre Team is a marching team that performs routines of saber movements to exhibit the precision and excellence of the United States Air Force, while armed with sabers. The Sabre Team learns to execute a saber arch for events such as homecoming, awards ceremonies, military ball, and graduation.
JLAB TEAM - Each JROTC unit will be allowed ONE Academic Team consisting of four cadets. The team may include juniors, sophomores and/or freshmen. Two alternates may be named and may participate in the online portion of the competition but are not allowed to attend Page 6 JLAB with the team. No seniors may participate on the team.

ARMED EXHIBITION DRILL TEAM - The armed exhibition drill team performs various regulation and exhibition drill sequences using facsimile rifles. During each varsity-level conference drill meet, the armed team undergoes a rigorous inspection at arms and is, subsequently, judged on how well it performs a routine regulation drill sequence.

CYBER PATRIOTS - CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Education Program created by the Air Force Association to inspire K-12 students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation's future. At the core of the program is the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition, the nation's largest cyber defense competition that puts high school and middle school students in charge of securing virtual networks. Other programs include AFA CyberCamps, an elementary school cyber education initiative, a children’s literature series, CyberGenerations –a senior citizen cyber safety initiative, and a Tech Caregivers program designed to encourage cyber-savvy volunteers to give back to their communities.
