AFJROTC's Cadet Leadership Course (CLC) is an optional Co-Curricular program that teaches cadets citizenship, leadership, and practical skills in a highly structured and focused instructional environment. Its mission is to prepare cadets for leadership roles in their units, schools, and local communities. As such, the activities during CLC stress the following: team building, leadership, respect for authority, responsible citizenship, personal character, academic achievement, health & wellness, community service, and survival/outdoor skills. CLC is held annually for the most prestigious cadets, typically during the summer break.

Toward the end of the second semester of the school year, the Corps of Cadets gather for one last event, celebrating their accomplishments, saying goodbye to seniors, and building comradery for the year to come.
On the morning of April 9, 1942, following four months of intense battle and no hopes of reinforcements, the American troops on the Bataan Peninsula of the Philippines surrendered to the Japanese. The 76,000 captured American and Filipino men were then subjected to the Bataan Death March, a torturous march of more than 65 miles, in which thousands of troops died due to starvation, dehydration and violence.
Many JROTC units around the world hold similar events annually to raise awareness for POWs and MIAs and to challenge themselves to complete a difficult task. GA-953 does this march annually at the Appalachian Trail. Those Cadets that complete the full 14 miles earn a ribbon to wear proudly on their uniforms.
At the end of each school year, GA-953 Corps of Cadets have an annual awards ceremony, celebrating National awards, as well other recognized accomplishments.
Every year, the GA-953 Corps of Cadets host a prestigious event, The Military Ball. This is a social event that allows the unit and guests to enjoy a formal evening together based on military tradition.
The purpose of the dining-in is to bring together members of a unit in an atmosphere of camaraderie, good fellowship, and social rapport. This event is filled with fun, structure and memories that will last a lifetime.
